Plant now in winter for delicious sweet berries in the spring, summer, and early fall. Our selection of bareroot berries and a few vegetables will arrive close to the end of January this year.
STRAWBERRIES
Select strawberries from among both June-bearing varieties (one large crop in early spring to summer) and ever-bearing types (fruit consistently but in smaller quantities all year long). 'Camaros' and 'Chandler' are June-bearing varieties with large sweet red fruits. 'Fern', 'Seascape', and 'Sequoia' are favorite ever-bearing types with good flavor and color.
CANEBERRY
Our caneberry selection is larger this year, with red, gold, and black raspberries as well as Boysenberry and 'Ollalie' Berry. 'Amity' (red) tastes great and is also resistant to root rot. 'Black Cumberland' (black) is productive and tasty. 'Gold Fall' (yellow) is both productive and vigorous with sweet yellow fruit. Boysenberry and 'Ollalie' Berry are vigorous, productive shrubs with trailing canes. Both yield large, dark berries with unique flavors.

BLUEBERRY
Plant two or more blueberry varieties for better pollination and a larger harvest. This will also vary the time they fruit so you can also enjoy berries over a longer period of time. Choose among 'Bluecrop', 'Brigitta', 'O'Neal', and 'Patriot' for great blueberry flavor, fall color, and colorful bare winter structure. 'Patriot' (an early variety) grows best in our heavy soils and has good flavor as well. 'Bluecrop' (mid-season) is known as the dessert berry. 'Brigitta' (late season) is new from Australia with sweet, yet slightly tart berries. 'Misty' (early season) is evergreen in our mild climate. Several, planted a few feet apart, make a great edible and decorative hedge.

AND MORE…
Last but not least, asparagus roots and rhubarb crown divisions are also coming. 'Jersey Knight' is an all-male hybrid with abundant green spears, and disease-resistance. 'Sweet Purple' has large, deep burgundy spears with a 20% higher sugar content. 'Canadian Red' Rhubarb produces many tender, sweet stalks that are red inside and out. The juicy stalks do not lose their vivid red color in cooking.
