Organic Bareroot Strawberry Plants Have Arrived!

Illustration

This New Year we are very pleased to offer another great assortment of bareroot plants. You will have your choice of big blackberries, beautiful blueberries, sweet strawberries, and more…

Our first arrival, which has proven to be a winner, is the ‘Diamante’ strawberry. It is brought to us by our friends at Prather Ranch, up in Shasta County. This is a relatively new cultivar, developed by the University of California at Davis in 1997. This year’s crop of ‘Diamante’ is the only Certified Organic bareroot strawberry (plant) cultivar available in the nation! This day-neutral variety produces large high quality fruit throughout most of the growing season. ‘Diamante’ is considered to be one of the most exceptionally flavored and aromatic strawberries on the market, according to California growers. These little plants are very compact and grow more erect compared to similar varieties like ‘Selva’ and ‘Seascape’. This growth makes for easier harvesting in containers or small gardens. A sweet surprise to look forward to this season!

Have Fun!
